Hi my name is Reies Romero and I am a recent graduate of Augsburg College with a Bachelors in Social Work and a Saint Paul College Graduate in 2013 with an Associate’s Degree and it is also where I co-founded the MSA. I am a founding member of the Universal Movement for the advancement of Hip Hop and the Director of the James Dewitt Yancey Foundation in MN and a facilitator with Restorative Justice Community Action. My focus is Social and Youth Justice, Hip Hop Activism and ending White Supremacy. I have been a DJ for close to 25 years and I also teach Hip Hop History, Direct Activism, the History of DJing and School to Prison Pipeline issues.  I have been an official speaker with the Islamic Resource Group for 3 years and I enjoy meaningful engagements with others about Islam. I like to travel, grill/cook, iron, read, learn new things,public speaking and attend rallies and protests. I am very easy to talk to and I am really into community building and engagement!
